May 14, 2013 - Medium purple. Tart cherry and licorice. Slightly sharp entry, but this fills out nicely while retaining its snappy red fruit. Mouthwatering acidity, salinity and soil. Much better than the last bottle which was clearly flawed. Nice shape and not overdone as the vintage can sometimes be.

December 27, 2012 - Some stink right at the outset intoduced a thin, tart wine with a barnyard finish. Even the drain protested!

September 11, 2012 - Not super digging this right out of the bottle - nose is interesting, graphite, dark earth underpinning cherry, then the entry starts off with those cherries and quickly becomes tart slightly acidic pucker, a long lasting tart pucker. The body is on the light-medium side. A few years may calm this down, but maybe not.

    December 12, 2011 - Tart and disjointed.

June 21, 2011 - Nose was rather closed at first and finally started to give up aromas of fresh black plum, black cherries, smoke and spice. Light bodied with dark fruit with good acidity and decent length. Seems like this would be better with a little more time to allow it to open up.
