July 26, 2013 - A Friday Afternoon at Domaine (Domaine Wine Storage, Chicago IL): Nose: There is a lushness to the nose with upfront tones of lemon curds, oranges, white peaches, and quince tones. This is showing more like a california chardonnay and is lacking depth.

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium acidity, but it's a bit flabby on the mid-palate The feel is also more lush with upfront tones of quince, lemon curds, oranges, oak, and some white peaches.

Overall: This was basically the same as it was 4 months ago. It's not all too exciting and isn't really going to gain with age.

July 26, 2013 - Another Friday Afternoon @ Domaine (Domaine Wine Storage - Chicago, IL): Better than last time. The fruit was a bit more elegant and the oak was sweet. Didn't have a ton of complexity, but I found it nice to drink.

March 29, 2013 - Friday Domaine Tasting- 09 and 10 Red and White Burgundies (Domaine Wine Storage, Chicago IL): Nose: The nose was very lush and almost california-like with tones of quince, spiced pears, creams, lemon curds, and peaches. There was good complexity, but it was lacking depth.

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium acidity, but the acidity was a bit flabby. The feel is also more lush with tones of quince, pears, creams, and lemon curds.

Overall: This shows a lot more flesh and lacks some acidity. It's not completely flabby, but it would be nice to have more of a spine. This definitely isn't one to age and should be drunk earlier.

March 29, 2013 - Final Friday at Domaine (Domaine Wine Storage - Chicago, IL): A bit fat and vinous on opening. The acidity was moderate and the fruit was REALLY lush. I didn't have a chance to revisit this.

December 27, 2012 - Exemplified the style nicely. Not massively sophisticated, but definitely has that extra layer you expect from a Montrachet. Longish finish. Half bottle was a quite nice aperitif before Christmas dinner. My wine novice mother was duly impressed.

April 16, 2012 - Fine Vines Spring 2012 Portfolio Tasting (Nellcote - Chicago IL): Tasting. Ripe apple and pear aromas with modest spice. Fat on palate with moderate length. This showed a little more complexity than what I recall from tasting the same wine last fall.

September 19, 2011 - Fine Vines - Even More New Releases (Chicago IL): Wine tasting. Ripe fruit all the way through, very characteristic of 2009. Flavors of apple and pear with spice hints. Well balanced for the vintage. Moderate length, not lots of nuance.
