June 21, 2023 - Am Amoureuses Birthday (Asador Bastian - Chicago IL): In vertical. All opened ~45 minutes before serving, then enjoyed over two hours. So much tasty red cherry and berry, complex and rich for Freddy, maybe even slightly candied fruit hints. Rich and powerful. Another bottles from last year was more savory, and so even more exciting

December 3, 2022 - Seventeenth Annual White Truffle Dinner (Hughes House - Chicago IL): So much here in near perfect proportion. Dancing textures are perfectly Chambolle with the weightless and seamless character from when it is best. I last tasted this from barrel in 2010, and it has even exceeded my lofty expectations from the time.

December 6, 2021 - I was a bit nervous ordering this at a restaurant due to a weak experience with his 09 Musigny (which was way too hot / late harvested). Decided to give this a go and I am glad to report that this wine is very good, albeit bordering on too much ripeness (compared with a pair of CLB Eche and Reignots 08) but it just walks the line. A very musky and gamey nose, haunting in a old school style. Some cranberry and smoke and it reticently opens up and needed a good hour decant to show its stuff. When it did it was a beautiful wine, but bested by the sensational pair of CLB that evening. Probably good idea to hold this back a few more years but it's no crime to drink today.
