November 22, 2012 - This reminds you why you fell in love with wine. Ripe black and red cherry, hay, mushrooms and animal on the nose. Ripe red and black fruit on the palate, very sour on the first attack, it transitions to a sweet mid palate of cinammon and clove due to the well integrated oak. It finishes very spicy ans vibrant with black pepper, mushrooms and all those secondary flavors typical of a good burgundy. Could feel the flavors for minutes on my palate. Deep color, very much alive, it might get better, but why wait? This was almos perfect.
