December 25, 2021 - Note from 2 years ago pretty much says it all. I was a bit concerned that it was fading, but it put on weight as we drank it. Drink or hold

June 14, 2019 - Bricking, yet still a deeply saturated purple. Mellowed from a few years ago. Drying tannins, good minerality, plums and black cherries. Nice length and finish. An enjoyable if outsized merlot.

January 9, 2018 - This actually took me by surprise. Cork was intact but a little crumbly. Color barely showing its 21 yrs. nose was dark plum and cedar dominated and also picked up some dustiness. Swishing shows some residual structure but the fruit balances and the finish is med long. Life ahead for sure, and will continue to mature. Happy bday ev.

November 23, 2017 - Tastes exactly like the 2006 Paloma Merlot, only older with less stewed berries. Tart cherries, jammy fruits on the palate along with anise. Smoke and cherry aromas. Not as blousy as 2006 but still big, powerful.
