January 16, 2018 - An unfiltered, dusty, mouthful of rich fruit. Cherry, bramble, easy oak and drinking beautifully. Big nose. Drink now or drink in the next year or two. This is a classic Gafner wine.

January 19, 2014 - This wine has it al, complexity, structure, fruit but it needs several years in the seller to integrate. Complex Minerality and salinity on the nose. Pure dark red fruit tart acidity and firm almost rough tannins. A very complex finish. This wine needs years to have these elements integrate. I saw a finish date of 2028.

November 1, 2013 - Cloudy/dull ruby red with aromas of red cherries and hints of oak and leather. It was medium bodied, balanced, very smooth and had rich flavors of cherries. The finish was medium and had a little bitter burnt oak aftertaste.

October 30, 2013 - Notes of cigar prevail on the nose and palate. Cedar and ripe red fruit, nutmeg and cinnamon on the nose as well. Palate is darker ripe fruit, spice, and that zingy citric acid component that while not overwhelming, puts its mark on the wine.

Medium body Cali Pinot, well made, medium-long finish.

January 4, 2013 - Ruby Red with aroma's of berries and leather...balanced, very smooth, medium lightness, tannins and aftertaste. Very nice pinot with none of the cotton candy sweetness that some of them have.

November 22, 2012 - Well structured, slightly spicy, earthy, and concentrated. Needs to 18 to 24 months to be enjoyable without working for it.

August 25, 2012 - Nat cork. Cloudy, a dull purple-red. A forward nose of sweet fruit - candied cherries, with some fresh earth hiding underneath. Medium bodied with candied fruit - skittely but not too bad, earth, cigar box and woodsy spice, and the slightest, pleasant hint of heat at end. Not a shy wine, deeply concetrated and 'serious' but well balanced. Long finish. bet even better in another year.

August 4, 2012 - Wine Reviews: Pinot Noir: SRP: $48. A rich, lush nose of dark cherries, ripe raspberries, and roses – backed by a hint of cinnamon and oak. The palate is harmonious – great acid and tannin structure, with wonderfully ripe fruits lingering for quite some time.
