Community Tasting Notes 5

July 27, 2015 - Weekly tasting group #177; Riesling from Germany (@ The factory by JdB): Modest and not so very expressive bouquet with white fruits and some petrol. On the palate white and yellow fruits as well as grapefruits, including their acidity and bitterness. Clean, fairly full bodied wine.

January 11, 2012 - ($11) Appearance: Pale straw; Aroma: Slate, light citrus; Taste: Honey, dried apricot, sweet medium finish, loght bodied, low alcohol, goes with asian food

October 18, 2010 - This is pretty in the glass. Light green shades in straw. The nose yields light perfumes of fresh yellow fruit paired to plump tropical scents evolving into more weighty dried cider and honey impressions. The palate shows some sparkle, nice concentration with a playful lime-driven acidic grip. This is still young and very fresh, but with a nice creaminess throughout to the finish. Rebuy: yes.

September 4, 2010 - Green / straw. This comes out mineral and floral with a subtly pungent minerality. Elegantly perfumed. Good balance on the palate, giving out a nice play between restrained creaminess and a non timid acidic backbone. That is great value for money. Rebuy: yes.

June 21, 2010 - Better than recent years, tends to be too dry due to the intense slate influence, there is a certain change of style, more fruit less mineral features, in this case an improvement
