September 24, 2016 - Another bottle and very similar impressions: dark, extracted, full of black fruits, cocoa, nice wood, spices. Tasty palate very similar to nose - balanced, large, smooth, long finish. Very well made Duero...

August 17, 2016 - Tasting again, 2.5 years after my first one (see my previous note) and still the same great impression!
Very good wine, ready to drink and based on the progress during the last two years - will be in this great drinking window for long time.

January 17, 2016 - Ap: Dark ruby red with some sediments
Ar: Riope dark berries, heavy oaked, salty flavours, tobacco and spices
Full bodied over to overwhelming, and lacking some balance due to that fact. Intense.
    good length

March 30, 2015 - Weekly tasting group #162; Spain (@ BD): In the bouquet ripe fruits like raspberries, but also other red and dark forest fruits as well as a firm dose of oak. Same on the palate with a firm amount of sweetness, some chocolate, vanilla, good acidity and slightly sticky tannin. Overall a very good wine with a future of 4+ years. 89 – 90.
