August 7, 2021 - Drank alongside 07 QC Galitzine. Galitzine preferred by most. More balanced. Palengat also good, but more monolithic, dominated by dark fruit and alcohol

March 28, 2021 - PnP and followed for awhile. Not much air needed. Cassis, plum, strawberry, smoke, earth, a little graphite, light herbs on the nose. Red cherry, cassis, plum, earth, graphite, and some oak on the palate. Moderate acidity, coating, chewy tannins (though not in the way), long finish. Palengat might be my favorite QC wine, as it's powerful but still manages to be pretty. There are nice accents of red fruit and a mouthwatering aspect that's attractive.

    August 8, 2020 - Decanted 2 hours.
Strong alcohol. This seems to be a common theme with the Palengat wines I have had. Still very nice even with the heat. Strawberry, plum, black currant. Soft fruits and texture.
