  September 8, 2011 - This wine used to big prevalent at mid-tier shops but in recent years I've only seen it at supermarkets. As it turns out my supermarket had a super-duper sale and knocked it down to $20 from $42 retail. A $40 wine can't be bad right? And at $20 it should be a screaming bargain right? Wrong on both counts. It's just about what every $20 supermarket wine tastes like. On the nose it has plenty of raspberries and tobacco and if try really hard you can pick out of black pepper. In the mouth it's the typical fruit driven CA style cab with buttery oak to flow. Finishes kinda short but just about what most $20 wines deliver.
  
  I have go back and pickup a case for the additional 10% discount bringing it down to $18 per bottle. This is a good everyday kinda wine with a fancy "reserve" label that may impress some guests other than that it's just a decent drink for $18.
  
  Remember you don't drink the label.
