July 28, 2020 - Nice ripe black cherry fruits with a smooth entry and slightly chewy finish. At a point where wine has mellowed, yet offers very good pleasure. A touch of green pepper ands some complexity. Quite nice.

July 2, 2020 - From a 5L. Deep ruby. Much fresher but also much tighter than a 6L bottle opened in the summer of 2019, this offers aromas of blackcurrant, black plum, unsmoked cigars, dried violets, loam and oak spice. Medium to medium+ bodied with medium+ acid and fine, grippy tannins on the palate, this is considerably more open and shows warmer, more evolved flavors of dried black fruits, gravel and spice. Those who own this in large format bottles would be wise to hold it for another three to five years.

May 17, 2020 - Decanted an hour and this was back to the wonderful bottles prior to my last one (which must have just been off). Dark blue and red fruits, great concentration, long finish with the tannin very lush and in the background. Great cali cab. Would be drinking now but seems to be holding quite strong. A-/A

April 4, 2020 - I still love this wine and the vintage. Drank amazingly well after a 45 minute decant. Still vibrant after 18 years with everything you expect from a classic Napa style. Cheers!
