November 26, 2020 - Oxidized.
July 18, 2020 - Color is an age-appropriate light golden yellow. Aromas of beeswax, bruised apple and spiced pear. Adds a hint of citrus fruit as it warmed. On the lighter side of medium-bodied. Apple, honeycomb and nutmeg on the palate. 88/89 pts.
August 14, 2015 - 2015 - Valpo Tasting: Consistant with last time I had this. However while last time it took some time to be drinkable, this was drinkable on opening.
August 26, 2013 - Day three after opening and sitting in the fridge. Dark gold color. Apples and brown sugar on the nose. On the palate, nice mouthfeel, butterscotch flavor and some apple, a little oak on the finish. Definitely sweeter than I was expecting. Not my typical style, as its lacking acidity and minerality, but surprising enjoyable to simply just drink on its own for what it is. 88pts. Aloha!
July 14, 2013 - Sweet
April 26, 2013 - opened about three hours ago, no decanting. I detect a combination of almonds, lemon, vanilla, and touch of a sweet, almost candy-like aroma. The palate is an interesting mix of nuts, ripe pears, and notable oak elements. There is also some heat associated with it. I'm interested to see where this wine goes from here.
April 7, 2013 - Needs to breathe for a few hours to get past the exotic almond and lavender notes. On the third day after opening, this was a very smooth and viscous chard, with plenty of ripe fruit in the middle, Drank like a 91-92p wine. In a precocious stage wight now.
April 7, 2013 - Peach syrup. Great w spicy Asian food
March 19, 2013 - Gave it a couple years, but still not particularly impressed by this bottle. Perfectly drinkable, but nothing special.
October 8, 2012 - Hmmm.not loving it. Very sweet and quite viscous. Maybe the bottle. Will have to try another but if it is the same style it is not for me. Almost dessert wine like and not what I expected.
