June 29, 2019 - Delicious red cherry and earthy notes on the nose and silky palate with impeccable balance and lovely acidity on the long finish.

March 14, 2018 - Rose petal, cerise nose with a hint of vanilla. Well balanced acidity, mild tannins and sufficient fruit. Improves with time in the glass. Lengthy finish but very clean.

November 16, 2017 - Decanted for an hour and wow, this was very good. The wine has aromas of red cherries, smoke, and cooking spice. Medium high acidity, subtle tannins, and long finish complete the package.

In my view, this wine is in its peak drinking zone and should stay there for a few more years.

April 6, 2017 - Wow, what a great Pinot Noir from Argentina. The best one from South America I had so far. Deep and complex structure with notes of ripe red berries and a little pepper and cinnamon. Makes me want to drink more of this amazing stuff. Drink now or within the next two years.

August 20, 2016 - double-decanted for 3 hours, nose was fairy muted. A little minty, some sweet and cool fruit, with a little rubber. Nice structure on the palate.

(Bodega Chacra Pinot Noir Treinta y Dos) Limpid black raspberry in color. The nose is neither obvious nor elusive, but seductive, gently unraveling in the glass. The wine smells of roses, dark cherry, mulberry, sage, sandalwood, frankincense, and vanilla. Layers of spice and a deep, almost indescribable minerality come through with aeration. Like the 2008 version, this ’32 is positively luscious yet impeccably poised and oh, so long. Approachable now, it will evolve beautifully over the next seven to 10 years. Only 5,868 bottles were produced, each hand-numbered. Enjoy with roasted Patagonian lamb or duck or with butternut-squash ravioli. Terroir: Bodega Chacra
