July 25, 2021 - Short note - still fresh youthfull, lime, slate, peach, high acidity, off-dry palate, nectar and floral notes, very precise and clean. Very good if not outstanding quality, 91-92p
May 13, 2020 - Remains pale; expressive, typical Mosel, fresh, direct, develops floral & sandstone notes ; crackling energy, dry - touch of residua, well proportionedl; finishes dry but dramatic, sweeping finish. Later more blunt. Will easily age 5, but better now.
February 26, 2018 - Lime zest and juice, canned peach, rusty iron, and wet slate. Brilliant balance of zesty acidity, moderate sweetness and salty minerality. Just lovely!
August 11, 2017 - PnP in a restaurant.
In nose there isn´t any hint of the maturity of 8 years. In the nose grape juice with tropical fruit - not with excessive character but subtle.
Also on the palate no hint of the maturity. Blind I would guess of a max. 4 years old Kabinett. On the palate same fruit but accompanying with fresh acidity and present slate zest. Very good balance.
I would not say that this QbA might be better in 2 years, but it will hold that current wonderful level for at least another 4-5 years.
Very surprisingly experience for me.
December 24, 2016 - Agree with BERLINHOTEL on extra sweetness. Probably due to the outstanding vintage. Excellent and prime drinking.
September 6, 2014 - one of my alltime favourites feinherb, sweeter than usual and lower in alcohol
January 7, 2014 - Very pale, almost clear color, with slight green glints. Nose of daiquiri, peach, fresh cut grass, and a rubbery note like a freshly opened can of tennis balls. The palate has sweet ripe peach flavors, with a faint touch of Meyer lemon. This finishes very clean, with subtle acidity. Delicious now as an apéritif.
December 22, 2013 - This is a phenomenal wine for the price.
Packing serious fruit and minerality. Delicious grapefruit, pineapple, tropical fruits on the pallet. I am enjoying the second bottle more than the first.

September 1, 2013 - Still really good. Razor sharp, fresh and incredibly vibrant with fresh pear, lime and green apple fruit accented by gentle mineral and herbal notes, all conveyed with a sense of remarkable lightness and purity. Ridiculous quality for a QbA.
