October 23, 2012 - Impressive 2nd wine from Monbousquet, toasted oak. coffee beans, cream aroma, complex texture on plate, little sweety but a hit of tight, will cellar it 2-3 years more.
    I LOVE THIS WINE.

May 1, 2012 - Seductive nose of toasty oak, coffee and vanilla. Dense and plush on the palate, with ripe red berries flavours, followed by a subtle touch of melted chocolate and licorice in the mid palate. A lengthly plum-filled finish, but a bit warm on the tongue.

This second wine of Château Monbousquet exhibits its beautiful style even in the vintage of 2007 (I found commonality of this vintage that exhibits subtle tastes of sour licorice or Chinese herbal tea among some 2007 Bordeaux Reds)

July 19, 2010 - Practice; 7/19/2010-7/20/2010 (The Sampler - Islington): Nose: clean, developing, raspberry, red plum.
Palate: dry, medium (+) tannin, medium body, spice, dark plum, generally lacking depth.
Conclusions: good, ready to drink, but can develop further.
    Quoted Price: £19.00
Comments: merlot dominates the blend and provides a soft nose, while cabernet sauvignon supplies structure to the palate of an otherwise unexciting wine.
