April 27, 2012 - This is a 14.7%abv Sauv Blanc from Santa Barbara County. The Foxen wines are always nice, and this one is no exception. Notes of lemon zest and honey-drizzled green apples on the nose, with a hint of wet gravel on the end to add some complexity to the nose. The palate shows great freshness and verve, with taut acidity and gravely citrus fruits, with a persistent, almost stinging finish that last 20-30 secs. This is a fabulous example of a Sauv Blanc from Calif, and should drink well another 2 years. Wish I had more...

November 13, 2011 - Yellow, gold and green hues with medium viscosity in the glass. Honey, hay, stone fruit and tangerine on the nose. Medium body with lavender, green apple and citrus (tangerine) on the palate. Nice tart, oily mouthfeel. Medium finish.

May 17, 2011 - Straw yellow with medium/heavy viscosity in the glass. Buttered popcorn, citrus, mowed grass, and green apple on the nose. Full bodied on the palate with loads of citrus (grapefruit & pineapple) along with minerality. Secondary oak and puckering apple. Good structure. Pleasantly lingering and mouth filling tart finish.
