January 16, 2016 - Previously reviewed, I can only say I regret this was my last bottle of this Santa Maria Valley charmer. It was a beautiful rendition of a classic full bodied Pinot Noir. Earthy and complex with sour cherry and red berry fruit. Wonderful stuff.

June 20, 2014 - Black cherry, cola, earth, and spice. Good balance

January 29, 2014 - cellar clean-up. These were delicious -- so much so, that we didn't take them out of inventory when we drank them -- and now they are gone

(Alta Maria Santa Maria Pinot Noir) #1; COLOR-medium/dark; NOSE-this is really smoky on the attack; a little dill and parsley; some red fruit; and pickled sour kraut; PALATE-beautiful mouthfeel; super silky and unbelievably smooth; great flavor profile; I get a black pepper mid-palate accompanied by raspberry and cherry sauce; really well made Pinot; elegance, classic; good body, but doesn't taste like some Syrah has been snuck in; great structure; fabulous finish; one of the better under $25 Pinot's I've come across in a really long time; WE-93; GV-99
