April 20, 2017 - Manque un peu de quelque chose... de la passion?

September 10, 2016 - Starts off lush, showing ripe and forward, then nicely reverts to more classic Chablis from the middle forward, with lemon and lemon peel with mineral textures. Very good now.

August 27, 2016 - Ripe yellow fruit (banana) on the nose. Dry and fruity, smooth, good yellow fruit with notes of vanilla on the palate. Very good.

December 21, 2014 - Deep gold colour. No premox or signs of excess oxidation. A nose of lemon, grapefuit, peaches, greengages, wet granite and a touch of honey. Perhaps a little chalk but no serious salinity or marine aromas. On the palate, viscous and glycerol on the attack, an attractive texture and mouthfeel. Some acidity on the mid and back palate, with flavours of grapefruit, greengages, limes, white peach and a little pineapple. Montée de Tonnerre is my favourite Chablis 1er climat but this wine is borderline disappointing without quite either the focus and precision or the fruit weight I look for from the vineyard. I also don't think this wine has the stuffing to make old bones. A pleasant enough Chardonnay but more Villages Côte de Beaune that Montée de Tonnerre Chablis.

October 8, 2014 - Actually I am a little bit disappointed with this. It was good, but honestly I am not sure I would rate it 1er Cru over normal AOC Chablis - and I like and have other bottles by this producer. Hmmm. Sticking by that. Good, but not great. Provenance and storage both pure too. Yori below points out that Wine Spectator gave it an 82! At least some support for my disappointment. Again, it is OK, it is Chablis - but it is not up to snuff for 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre. I opened and enjoyed over 2 days, and I have the same opinion. I will see how my 2010's are doing.

August 7, 2014 - Very enjoyable wine that opened up over the course of dinner and was drinking best on the last glass. A little bigger and rounder than I expected from a Chablis but still very enjoyable. Closer to Burgundian than Chablis in my opinion.
    Would buy again.
