July 16, 2020 - Gift from F&F, pulled to drink with a beef risotto. PnP, drank over two hours.

Medium/thin purple color. Nose of dark fruits and earth. Palate of tart blackberry, dark cherry, spice. Medium weight and finish. Easy drinking wine, was good with food. Not a lot of depth, my guess is this is built to be drunk young...good for everynight with casual food

September 1, 2018 - Drinking beautifully in it's older age, structured notes of black fruits and damp earth along with great acidity make it an excellent food wine. It's certainly in its peak right now but I don't foresee it fading soon.

January 11, 2015 - My Grade: VG. 80% Sangiovese, 20% Syrah. Dark Cherry in glass, medium depth, nose of cherries, licorice, black pepper, somewhat sweet red fruit on the palate, brawny mid palate, some structure, decent acidity, short, indistinguished finish. Good value for an IGT Toscana.

January 19, 2013 - Red berries, blackberries and a bit of white pepper for spice, Very enjoyable , well balance integrated with fruit and tannin. Versatile in food partnering but exceptional with red sauce and Mediterranean tapas.

December 17, 2011 - Relatively sweet, supple red, low intensity nose but good fruit, slight sourness gives a country-wine feel but not too much. OK.

June 7, 2011 - No personality, not much flavor, very low acidity but noticeably dry. Good choice for someone new to the world of wine.
