October 8, 2012 - No formal notes. Great wine. Dark, big, and Fruity. Not incredibly complex, but a great wine.

March 11, 2012 - VERY dark but losing some of the intensity from earlier tastings. Too late? Hope not, have 2 more bottles.

(Robert Foley Charbono, Napa Valley) Originally planted in the late 19th century to add body to Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons, Charbono became a cult favorite for Inglenook in the 1960s and ’70s. Now, working with the same vineyards as Inglenook did, renowned winemaker Bob Foley has personally rescued Charbono from extinction in California. This full-bodied red wine has fascinating red and dark fruits, along with balanced tannins. Hot Picks
