A youthful, fruity bouquet.
Good fruit, well balanced, smooth mid palate, good length.

Appears to be past it's best - the nose was missing the usual youthful fervour and the first mouthful confirmed that this wine was past its best...note to self; to consume within 2 years of he vintage.
July 16, 2012 - Current Tasting Notes
An enticing wine which will awaken your senses from the very first encounter. Leather, boysenberry and sweet spices combine. The supple palate with its transparent flavours of red fruit and earthy textures leads to a finish that is both balanced and intriguing.
June 22, 2012 - Lovely! New Zealander burgundy. very typical red berries ascent and taste. Now after almost a bottle - my wife just usually leave up to me - I dare to say this was the best pinot noir outside burgundy ever tasted. maybe tomorrow I change my mind. . But only after nominating a new one. . . . not decanted but should had. please do. one hour in the glass made last glasses much better than early ones.
May 23, 2012 - Cherries, cranberries, cedarwood. Flowery nose with attractive red fruit.
May 2, 2012 - Lots of red fruit - sour cherries etc. Smooth.

February 14, 2012 - pinot noir vinsmaking Vitis Bergensis
February 12, 2012 - Tasted semi blind together with Burgundies and othe pinots. Expressive pinot flavours, very elegant though. Mellow taste, but also very intense and concentrated. Reminded about a Chambolle. Impressive.
