Community Tasting Notes 5

May 6, 2023 - Blackberry jam, granita biscuits, leather,
cola, dried eucalypt, enveloping dusty tannin, excellent balance and ample length. Similar elements to four years ago, some differences in emphasis. Still impresses from the initial sniff.

July 12, 2019 - Glorious. Still young and fresh and fairly primary with many years ahead. Blackberry, cola, Aussie bush, dust, sweet spice, balance, texture, length, and savoury tannin with structure that curls out, enfolds, and enraptures. After four hours more savoury, some Granita biscuit and leather notes.

May 29, 2012 - Dark purple, with aromas and flavours of blackberry, dark cherry, cola, clove and spices. Toasty oak. Quite complex at this young age and beautifully balanced. A bit unique too. Good with food. This is my favourite vintage of this wine.

April 2, 2011 - Cola, cherry, plums, blackberry, spices, some leather. Lovely nose, then medium bodied and nicely balanced, fine tannins, good long finish.

November 18, 2010 - Blackcurrant, cherry, tar, spice. Great texture, complex even though it is young. Great tannins and mouthfeel.
