October 31, 2023 - Still learning these wines and have a ways to go. I enjoy less fruit forward Bordeauxs and appreciate what this wine has to offer

Popped. Left in the bottle. Immediately and throughout the night. Library book/ flint nose and taste.

After 1.5 hours. Heavy cedar. Also throughout the night. Earthy. Barnyard.

At 3 hours. Dark Cherry made a large surprise appearance which was welcomed and exciting. Then it retreated back to its core.

    Fin.

January 31, 2019 - Very fragrant upon opening, this fades rather quickly. This is a very nice bottle, somewhat past its prime but still really nice, especially since I owned the case since release.

January 26, 2019 - Fully mature Bordeaux. Past its prime to be sure, but still elegant. Drink up!

January 3, 2019 - Drank over 2 nights. Pretty underwhelmed. Funk. Decent color. Thin to medium bodied. Have some younger versions so will be interesting to try it. But, at these prices, I will go elsewhere.

September 20, 2017 - In OCNJ w Frank, slow oxed for about 45 minutes, drank over 90 minutes.

Medium ruby, separating at the edges. Nose was open and evolved over the time drank. Classic Paulliac nose: berries, cedar, graphite, lavender. Palate showing dusted blackberry, currant, spice....caramel on the mid palate. Medium body and finish. Fruit has faded a bit (from memory) from last bottle. Elegant but lacking depth.

This is fully mature, a shade past its prime. Evolved nicely over the time we drank it. I don;t think is improves from here, would drink in next few years

August 16, 2017 - Wonderful wine that was intense 4 days after opening. Full body and concentrated fruit. No bricking found and I would drink over the next 5 years. It is in the sweet spot now. I suggest a four hour decant and the wine will just be better the more air you give it. Save some for the next day.
