March 3, 2018 - Full bodied and smooth with a hint of fruity sweetness, notes of malt, bread and a bit of licorice. Very balanced. I liked this a lot.

November 8, 2014 - Dark red, almost could be mistaken for brownish. Cloudy, as a previous reviewer noted. Very large head upon pouring, but then it settles, with very small bubbles and others of various sizes. Sweet brown sugar smell. Fresh taste, crisp but a little sweet. Rich and full bodied. Tastes like a brown ale to me. Long, dry finish, with strong but not too strong hoppy but also malty flavour. Be careful when you pour as there is sediment, apparently yeast, at the bottom of the bottle. I recommend that you let it warm up slightly after taking it out of the fridge and pouring. The flavours open up a little more that way. Too much of a chill can dampen some of the flavour. $6. Overall value: 4 stars of 5. Overall impression: excellent.
