February 28, 2024 - Decanted over cocktails. Amazing nose of roasted meat and barnyard. On the palate, full and balanced with firm tannins, herbs and dark fruit. Wonderful. Can't see how this could improve from here.

February 11, 2024 - Super Bowl LVIII 2024 (Alpharetta, GA): Tasted double blind: Great nose of roasted meats, subtle oak, classic white pepper on the somewhat grippy finish. I called it '05 Jamet.

  • MC2 Wines Likes this wine:

January 17, 2023 - Commanderie des Costes du Rhone - Spring 2023 Kick-off (Gabriel Kruether): Drinking incredibly well as always. Fun to see that we still have a bottle of this for the future. It's all dark and brooding and spice notes and just very tasty.

October 8, 2022 - Dark, rich and meaty. Still fairly primary and quite youthful, but there’s lots of complexity here and subtle notes of maturity. Dried strawberries and lovely spice, a perfect wine for an autumn night.

September 24, 2022 - Perched on the corner of elegance and refinement, the wine grabs you with all of its smoke, flowers, spice, licorice mint, and cherry tones. There is length, purity, vibrancy, and complexity as well as a sensuality to the texture that makes this bottle impossible to stop drinking. No decanting is needed, just pop, pour and enjoy. Drink from 2022-2035.
