December 25, 2015 - This took a good three hours to fully open. At that point, it all came together wonderfully. Purple color, with medium body and strong legs. Powerfully fragrant on the nose, with deep spice notes. On the palate dark berries, winter spices, and a touch of anise, with engaging tannins throughout. The finish lingers with a hint of evergreen at the end. Enjoyed with Jan on Christmas day.
October 25, 2015 - Much better with food. Found this to be slightly over oaked but it had a nice minerality component that was very nice.
June 8, 2015 - As before, dense fruit driven Cab, but with a good backbone. Has improved over the last year and some of the harder edges have gone. Drinks well now, but will last several more years.
June 8, 2015 - Very well balanced cab - fruit still fresh with soft tannins. Drinking beautifully.
August 21, 2014 - Delicious! Wine has matured and improved dramatically since my last try in 2012. A real surprise. Smooth tannins, wonderful fruit. Ready to drink now. Full bodied.
August 2, 2014 - Dense cab that probably needs a couple more years.
August 29, 2013 - Drinking well now, and will last several more years.
December 23, 2012 - Wine is still young - will wait a few years before opening the other bottle.

October 21, 2012 - Heavy scent of burnt toast and vanilla, then cherry. Unusual but enjoyable wine. Ready to drink now.
