December 18, 2023 - drank 30 minutes after decanting. Still got lots of concentration, but somehow not getting much on the nose other than a little bit of smoke and maybe some grilled meats. This was disappointing.

September 9, 2023 - Corked, though palate was lovely

September 2, 2023 - A mere babe at 23 years old. While the rim shows cranberry color, it almost immediately gives way to inky opaqueness of ox-blood. Red currants, cassis, plum, cedar, saddle leather, and coffee all politely greet the nose. The tannins are integrated and round … but not soft. The finish is generous and broad with liquorice, cedar and coffee … and plum. This remains a big wine. Drink now or hold … and I suspect it will continue to develop. But it drinks so well just now. Some sediment drops with the final pour. With huge (hand-cut, beef) grilled strip steaks from Meating Place. 07.31.07. Highly Recommended.

June 25, 2023 - Absolutely Exceptional!! Velvety smooth. Perfect floral. Minimal sediment. Truly delightful in every way. Tongi has set a very high bar for NAPA CAB. 25 years of aging is just about right!

February 28, 2023 - very nice, tasted very young for a 23 year old Cali cab... full minus body and decent acidity, purple fruit and a little edge but mostly fruit on the palate
