May 20, 2018 - A solid everyday Bordeaux that is drinking well right now. Paired with grilled skirt steak. Similar to my prior notes but much more pronounced nose, more balanced fruit and integrated tannins on the finish. Easy drinker and terrific QPR.

January 12, 2017 - I have had this bottle 5-6 times over the past couple of years and think it is a pretty good value. Good fruit and balance, classic style, finish is not terribly long, and the nose is nothing to write home about, but all in all it is a well done wine and certainly appropriate as a holiday gift or when entertaining. Agree with the flavor profiles in other reviews, but disagree that this wine is not complex. I found the typical berry/cherry notes, and hints of liqueur, leather. It should be noted that I came home late from work and did not decant this bottle at all.

Brookie prepared reuben (vegetarian) sandwiches and baby potatoes with pepper, salt, parsley, garlic, and butter. The wine is a good match for steak, chicken, veal, etc. etc. etc. Brookie agrees with the tasting notes but thinks the nose is brine with some green pepper. Ah Brookie! She gives it an 89.

I think the real debate here is whether this bottle should be cellared a few more years. there is no doubt that it could be. I have enough bottles left that I can open one every year, but if you are down to your last two, I say wait until it's 10th birthday. Very good effort from an epic vintage.

January 6, 2017 - A cru bourgeois wine belonging to the Vinoble Lacombe group of chateaus. Bessan Segur, La Gravette Lacombe, Tour St Vincent, Haut Canteloup and les Mourlanes are the other ones.

Four acres are located in the middle of Medoc. 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Merlot. About 30 000 bottles are produced annually.

Consumed after 3 hours of decanting. Bottle had some residue accumulated. Full bodied, opaque with wide dark purple rim. Notes of blackberry and currant with a bit of heat. On the palate very soft, well rounded and smooth with intergraded tannins. Mid long finish.

In its prime drinking window now. Would go well with any grilled meat and vegetables.

December 24, 2016 - - Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of raspberry, mushroom and coffee. It's balanced and has flavours of black currant, cherry and smokey with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a long finish - Three hour decant, almost corked nose right off initial opening. Dissipated after an hour. This wine needs a lot of time decanting. Rich assorted red berry nose with some coffee and earth. Good tannins still showing. I think it can still cellar.

October 2, 2016 - Cherry, blackberry, and raspberry on the nose. Medium bodied with a nice balance of berries, chocolate, cedar, black currant, and oak. A short finish. Paired with grilled skirt steak.

March 23, 2015 - - Brick color with fast forming legs and aromas of blackberry, raspberry, black currant and coffee. It's balanced and has flavours of chocolate, oak, cedar and black currant with a medium/full body. Narrow texture with a short finish - Decanted 4 hours, the wine evolved every minute. It's still very young, lay down another 5-8 years. Blueberry on the nose too, "every berry nose" - jack

March 8, 2014 - Splash decanted and drank over next 4 hours. A little raw at first, but softened. Moderately dark and medium body. Red berries. Not very complex, but pleasant. Decent QPR. Wait a few years or decant.
