August 29, 2017 - Still alive and with a nose of flowers and focused strawberries.

March 22, 2015 - This has a bigger aroma than flavor. I'd say the flavor fails to deliver on the promise, but the finish is good. Has a deep dark purple color.

A big, good aroma, with depth, bright fruit, oak, and some sweetness. Flavor has an edge from the oak, medium tannins, berries, but is a little thin. The finish is good, leaving behind sweet berries, tannins, and a touch of chocolate.

    Tasted at about 66°F.

February 22, 2015 - Wonderful. Deep and brooding, but smooth and graceful. Wonderfully French, great with marinated steaks.

December 1, 2014 - Almost completely opaque black cherry color with moderately developed maroon hue. Somewhat restrained and quite juicy, dark-toned nose with aromas of ripe dark fruits, some succulent strawberries, an oaky hint of chocolate and a touch of damp earth. The wine is medium-bodied and quite robust on the palate with savory flavors of tart cranberries, some savory oak spice, a little bit of bittersweet dark chocolate and a hint of sour cherry. The wine appears quite muscular and structured with its high acidity and modest but rather firm tannins. The finish is quite long and spicy with flavors of tart cranberries and lingonberries, sweeter wild cherries, light earthy tones and hints of savory oak spice.

A perfectly decent and surprisingly broad-shouldered Bojo showing the more muscular, darker-toned character of Moulin-à-Vent. Perhaps a bit too heavily oaked, given how the wine still shows quite obvious wood influence at 5 years of age. Overall an enjoyable effort with good power. Perhaps a bit more wood and a bit less complexity than I looked for, but the wine is still performing quite nicely for one from the hot 2009 vintage. Perhaps a bit on the expensive side at 17,49€.

March 5, 2014 - Fully bodied and dark; as others have eluded to, very much so for a Beaujolais. Forward dark fruit on the nose and palate fades into a sweet and succulent finish. There are hints of red fruit and glimpses of flowers on the palate. I had expected some more of an acidic charge to this but instead there is a gentle acidity that is restrained by the weight of the body. Lacks complexity but is a pleasing drink nevertheless. Good - Drink now.

September 4, 2013 - Medium-bodied and dark (in other words surprisingly heavy for a Beaujolais). Good but somewhat reserved for a Beaujolais. Considering this is one of the more prestigious cru it was a disappointment for this vintage.

August 31, 2013 - Deep red colour, just a hint of purple. Fruity nose with ripe red cherries, some sweet liquorice and hints of crushed stone and flowers. Fruity and juicy palate with red cherries and other berries, good acidity, light to medium- tannins, some spice, aftertaste with slightly tart berries and just a bit of tannin. Pleasant, easily drinkable but still serious, like many 2009 Beaujolais.

June 5, 2013 - Dusty black fruit with a slight tropical accent. Somewhat dry and austere. Lacking in freshness and acidity.

May 14, 2013 - Quaffable. Better than a lot of other things you can get at this price point, but nothing noteworthy.
