Community Tasting Notes 4

October 30, 2020 - Much more appealing than my (dim) recollection from 8 years ago, and fully justifying some French colleagues' inclusion of this in their recommendations to me back in 1970

Earthy tannins, yes: smooth cherry texture, yes: long and balanced, yes.

Stood upright for five days, decanted two hours, served low 60'sF

October 29, 2012 - Open and immediate pour into Riedel glasses. Amazing herbal character with a delicate structured mouthfeel that is tasty to savor without any food. I love this vintage....balanced herbal character. Much prefer this classic style over 2005 or 2009.

July 7, 2012 - Brick red edges, nose of mulberry. Now nicely balanced notes of red fruits with cab f coming in on back of palate

January 1, 2009 - Nice aromas. On the palate dark fruits with a bit of a thin finish.
