  July 23, 2022 - Opaque, inky in the glass with a kiss of purple around the rim. Elegant and focused aromas cover the full spectrum with white flowers, ripe raspberry, leather and spicey cinnamon (Big Red?) underpinned with crushed river rock. Supple, sinewy and beautifully attenuated on palate with a perfect amalgam of raspberry and ripe, minerally tannins with crushed red rock notes that echo through the long, sustained finish. Again, perfect balance of ripe fruit, structure, elegance and power. Fantabulous!

  February 10, 2012 - Decanted for >2 hours then accompanied lemon and rosemary roast chicken, roasted roots and peas with spinach and tarragon. Light color, a bit of cinnamon on the nose. Cherry fruit, pleasantly tart and peppery. A fine daily drinker, unlikely to improve.

  November 20, 2011 - Decanted 2 hrs, poured back into bottle and corked b/c changed evening plans, tried next day, deep cherry color, inviting nose with slight chocolate, medium mouthfeel, finished with tannins/oak/spice, not very balanced, rated 5 pts lower than 10 months ago, will probably drink the rest on a golf course.
