December 21, 2012 - Tasted blind originally thought is was older Chardonnay but on second guess thought it was Gruner. Very unusual combination of laser crisp entry and leesy creamy finish. Overall a really interesting wine.

August 1, 2006 - Dinner with friends (My house): Pure, petrol fumes and natural aromas of fresh cut grass, honeyed peach and apricot, and white flowers. Mature, weighty palate well supported by a vibrant acidity and minerality. No signs of decline. Beautiful wine, and very Nikolaihof in style.

August 1, 2006 - Petrol and sweat on the nose. Very rich, oily and unctous with a slickness. Some acids in there to balance. Thickness and alcohol give an illusion of sweetness. Clean finish with bitter marmalade notes. Definite class here.
