October 17, 2023 - Clear and clean; amber thinning to the edges. Nose of maple syrup, orange, cleaning fluids, almonds and tangerine. On the palate there is great spicy acidity driving forward rich smokey and caramel spice cake flavors. Both round and linear. Delicious.

April 2, 2023 - Nutty, intense, saline, pure. Just delicious, complex long, flavoursome wine. This is fantastic and a joy to drink if you can get your hands on it.

Biscuity and nutty, notes of orange and almond, very long with a warm embrace
Not at all austere like some very old amontillados

Nose: day 1 I got an eggy note. Day 2 this has totally passed, replaced by a pronounced nose of biscuit, golden syrup, hazlenut. Elegant and integrated.
Palate: a fine palate with the above sweeter flavours underpinned by subtle tanginess. A harmonious feel that doesn't whack you round the head with intensity. Long finish.
Delicious wine that due to its elegance would be versatile with food. Very good.
