March 10, 2023 - Clean dark red --- Nose fresh, red fruit, mint, sour cherries, elegant wood notes, black cherry jam, touch of nice green aspects --- Palate fresh, watery, a lot of fruit coming through, red and black fruit, cherries, red currant, raspberry, some blackberry, excellent acidity adding freshness and vitality, some flowery aspects --- Finishes pretty long on black fruit flavors, nice acidity flashing back, nice tartness. Very nice vine, precise, delicious and classy. 93+

November 7, 2021 - Big, voluptuous, smoked wood type of Bordeaux that has the depth of fruit to support the super woody, smoky notes. It feels like it survived a forrest fire. Very nice, bold, big, delicious merlot wine with distinct cabernet franc influence. Everyone liked this! Will buy more...Drink now, its at perfect peak.

July 24, 2020 - Black, some red shimmer --- Nose fire stone, burnt wood, red currant, some cherry, some ash, some violets, flowery aspects, earthiness, balsamic notes, some licorice --- Palate watery, acidic, very nice tart and sour notes, which are so elegant, reminds me of Galardi´s 2007 Terra di Lavoro so much, some bacon, cherries again, minerals and ash dominant in the first place and then fruit arises, overall elegant and classy --- Finishes rather long on its beautiful tartness, fruitiness and minerals. This one is a statement or as Gloria Ganor sang " I am what I am". The combination of a bold character and freshness and fruitiness is impressive. A little bit too much on the smoky side. Gaining deliciousness with aeration. Excellent vine. Drink now and coming 2 years.

March 28, 2020 - 1 hour decant. Dark purple color. Right in the drinking window. Floral and graphite nose. Deep, dark cherries on the palate with elements of earth, vanilla, oak, and blueberry. Complex and high quality. I’ll be sourcing more! Big wine!

May 30, 2019 - Beautiful glowing violet. Crabapple, pie spices, and a mixture of red and black fruits on the nose. Light basalmic vinegar, blackberry pie (diluted), and a general red fruit tastiness. While it is a very good wine, I am disappointed in the quality for the price, and in my opinion it's not going to improve much from here if at all; it doesn't seem to have the structure to last longer than another 5-6 years at its prime.

May 12, 2019 - 3 hour decant, served with lamb chops, fennel, acorn squash and shitake mushroom/port sauce.

Took a little time for the tannins to soften, but once it had some air, it was smooth and utterly delicious. Inky dark, cassis, blackberry, tobacco, earth. Paired beautifully with the meal. Great time to be drinking this wine. Can't say for sure but it seems like more than 2-5 more years might start to move it out of its prime, but I don't have enough experience with aging Bordeaux to say for certain. Definitely good to open now, and has some life ahead. I have 5 more bottles so will try another next year and see.

March 30, 2019 - Opened last night and it was delicious after an hour decant. It was a robust wine with fruit, tannins and balanced acidity and the wine accompanied some charcuterie perfectly. I saved a glass for the 2nd night; there is a nose of coffee grinds, leather and a whiff of iodine. The mouth is full of dark, black fruit, black cherry, unsweetened chocolate, expresso, and subdued tannins with a 20 second finish. This wine is much more youthful on the first night and I would start drinking these now if you have them as I don't suspect it will get too much better with aging. I am a sucker for right bank and Saint Emillion and this was a good value.

February 26, 2016 - Ruby color with a translucent edge, medium body, full aroma, delightful flavor profile that is remarkably balanced and restrained. Long finish. This one can certainly age but was good straight out of the chute with no decanting.
