March 9, 2016 - On the down hill.
February 25, 2014 - This was a very nice wine, especially at the price point. It was drinking very well right now. I am sorry it was the last one of a case -- would gladly buy more.
June 17, 2013 - Still some smoke (literal) odor, but pretty well integrated in the Zin spice. Better the next day. Not a fine wine but good QPR at $11
July 26, 2012 - As I think nearly everyone who bought the Indian Creek 2008 offerings knew, these were all smoke-enhanced because of the wild fires that year. Overall, I think this one worked out well and the hint of the smoke was more on the sidelines. Did need to let it open up for about 10 minutes after pouring.
May 5, 2012 - A bit smokey at first, but faded into pleasant background note with air. Pretty good wine for the price. will keep a few years more.
June 5, 2011 - GAAAACK! previous bottles I've enjoyed; this one was painfully medicinal and just plain nasty. no way this was a case of "different me". and it wasnt spoiled. different barrel? I dunno.....
May 15, 2011 - Of the 2008 Indian Creek wines, the zin is the best as the grape can handle the smoke better than Pinot.
April 17, 2011 - This wine has continued to improve and now bears a complexity deserving of its producer. A notable layering of flavors (I'm surprised by the comments to the contrary). still does carry some some harshness from the smoke, but its in balance with the fruit. Very good.
March 17, 2011 - As advertised, has smokey undertones throughout. Simple berry on nose and palate with minimal tannins. Decent table wine.
March 9, 2011 - Nice daily drinker.
