Community Tasting Notes 1

December 15, 2004 - WSET Diploma Tasting Portfolio.
App: Clear, pale lemon core with narrow watery rim, showing small bubbles of medium persistence.
Nose: Clean, medium intensity, developing nose showing green apple aromas and distinct, attractive biscuit and yeasty notes.
Palate: The wine is dry with integrated dosage. It is very crisp, almost acidic and medium bodied with a relatively fine and aggressive mousse. The light/medium intensity green apple fruit is somewhat over-shadowed by the high acidity on a medium length finish, with medium alcohol.
Conclusion: An acceptable quality sparkling wine, although it ought to be relatively easy to find better examples in this price range. Drink now and over the next 2 years.
