July 27, 2021 - A beautiful wine. Lots of raspberry and a rich, full finish.

July 3, 2021 - This wine is drinking in fine form and for my sense is at or perhaps just past peak. I will say it lost a little bit on day-2 corked at cellar temp (overnight), but not much. Its fully resolved, graceful, has a delightful mouthfeel, and lovely cranberry, blueberry, mouth-puckering purple flavors across a wash of palate clearing bracing acidity all packaged with superb balance. Now if that wasn't a run-on of superlatives! 94 pts day1 for me. Dropping to 92-93 on day2. 2009 was really quite a special vintage for Cru Beaujolais. It has staying power.

December 11, 2019 - This is certainly the best bottle I have had to Poncie. I liked this plenty. Dark red fruit with "warm traits", game, stony mineral.

October 14, 2019 - Still a bit dark (and a tad Maderized) but with plenty of vibrant fruit. Really good with pasta and smoked andouille.

August 18, 2019 - Drinking like a dream right now. Real tension here: soft and crisp, sweet and tart. And in the very best way, bloody nose. Top shelf.

March 22, 2019 - structured and sturdy, this has wonderful tannin and acid, especially for a ten year old wine.

this is leading me to believe the hype around 09 beauj is real.

have three more bottles and plan to let these ride for a very long time if i can.

August 26, 2017 - Fairly big in structure with lingering tannins on the finish. In need of more time (2-4 years). Right now rather one dimensional but well balanced. Wish there was more complexity on the finish but perhaps that will come with more time. I like the wine but it lacks the elegance of a good Fleurie and this wine is very reflective of the 2009 vintage (big and oversized). No hurry on this one and I suspect this will improve with more time. A nice bottle for the money but not exceptional. Score 89 for now.
