November 17, 2023 - Winetasting Burgundy vintages 2002 and 2005 (13 bottles): This half blind tasting focused on "middle class" Burgundy mainly from 2002 and 2005. Overall conclusion: All vintages are still performing well. Vintage 2002 is charming, easy to drink, still good concentration, rounded tannins. 2005 is dark, has more alcohol, higher tannins, more acidity, very good balance.

This wine: Medium garnet color. Less fruity, more savoury, than the other Mortet cuvees. Aromas of strawberry. less smoke. High acidity, medium+ tannin, short finish. A little boring.

September 12, 2010 - nose is modest and unassuming. taste is elegant yet structured, floral, pepper and black current scents, well-balanced tannins. drinking very well right now.

May 20, 2010 - Lot's of color. Intense ruby. A feminine wine made masculine way. Not yet evolved. Lot's of oak that is nicely integrated, lot's of concentration. Lovely fruit level with some flowers. A velvet caressing wine with a grip. Will be beautiful in the future - now a bit boring on it's own, but gained or opened up from the veal served with it. Outstanding potential.
