January 12, 2020 - Well, twenty somethings years later, it was wonderful!
November 10, 2019 - Second Sunday Group: 1999 Napa cabernets (Our house): Blind. Opens with an odd cheese-like note that blows off after a few minutes, revealing coffee and black fruit aromas. More of the coffee on the palate, with red berry fruit rounding things out very nicely. Doesn't change much as it sits, but that really doesn't matter as this is just a nice glass of wine. Balanced, slightly plush, with nice fruit.

December 18, 2016 - I really liked this wine. Paired with filet. Popped and poured. Fairly dense. Blue and purple fruit. Not the big ripe CA fruit but structured and relatively full-bodied. Very pleasant finish. Really a nice wine.
May 21, 2016 - Still with excellent fruit. Slight bricking around the edges. Drink now
October 21, 2015 - Drank at WWS last nite. I've had this wine a few years back with my notes being fairly consistent, though I liked it more this time around. Ruby in color with very slight browning at edges. The wine looks great at age 16, appears to be far younger than it is, and just lends further credence to the fact that time seems to stand still--or at least, slow down--in my wine cellar! (I'm thinking perhaps of moving my bed down there--or maybe my wife's!). Plenty of black fruit still here &, though it has perhaps faded a bit, I view that as a major positive as this wine is today in far better balance and harmony than it was in its youth. Luch, and silky smooth, with mostly resolved tannins, nice spice, a bit of smoke, leather and coffee too. Still a bit on the sweet side for my taste, but now I'm nitpicking. In glass, the fruit seemed to become more reminiscent of dried plums & the like. Very nice wine that has aged wonderfully. Clearly the WOTN (most of the crowd scored it much higher than I did) and I'm happy that I still have 1 lone bottle to enjoy in the near future.
September 13, 2015 - Alas, so difficult to say goodbye to a wonderful friend. Many memories made while enjoying several bottles over the years. Clearly one of the best PR cabs ever made. While I agree that it's past peak, still drinking well with plenty of dried red fruit, tobacco, subtle tannin and a medium+ soft finish. Still hangs in with a filet. Thank you Pine Ridge and former wine maker Stacy Clark!
August 12, 2015 - My last bottle. It's been a good run. This wine is now past it's prime, but it is still very drinkable. Very easy drinking. No tannins left. It's missing it's 'umph' - some would now call it 'flabby' at this point, but it still has good flavors. Good by itself or with food.
