April 22, 2023 - So dry as to defy expectation. Very little fruit, what's left is a evolved wine with herbal aromas, deep Burgundy color, and incredible mid-palate density and flavor, with a deep mineral core also having spice, smoke, anise all coiled up. Needed rich food (smoked pork ribs) in order to be approachable, this bottle was likely a decade past peak. Nice, if very particular.

November 14, 2017 - What a stunner! From an incredulously pristine half-bottle. The mini-cork was in perfect shape and came out effortlessly. The color was sparklingly clear ruby, (I stood it upright a few days before) with a tinge of purple in the decanter and dark orange and purple in the glass. The fruit was sweet and lively, with a slight tang and some funk, yet it was a classically "pretty" wine at the same time. Damson plums, black cherry, barnyard, tart cranberries, and a very elegant and refined leather note which developed over an hour. Geez, I wish I had dozens of these. Beautiful mouth-filling texture that's creamy with a slight tannic bite on the finish. A total steal at $39. Aux Peyrauds! [raising glass]

April 13, 2016 - From a magnum, decanted. Medium ruby. Bright, lively, earthy, with just a touch of pleasant funk. The rest we poured back and decanted a second time the next day, and despite this abuse, it shined on. Capped and then we had the rest two days later. By then it was finally showing signs of becoming tired -- but it was still lovely to the end.

December 27, 2013 - I shed a tear. The last bottle is gone. It was another great Bandol. Wonderful at Christmas. Remember Lucien Peyraud.

May 12, 2013 - So to speak with 10CC : "I don't like Reggae, I love it" !! These 90 Tempiers are simply wonderful, going direct to the soul. Paid 100 € in an Ebay Auction and thought of myself being crazy, because normally those sums for one bottle are not my style but this is worth every penny. This is the essence of the appelation. For selfish reasons I hope I am right with my opinion that properly stored these bottles can live at least another 23 years because maybe there will be another offering in the future........
