February 18, 2011 - 2011 Sydney Royal Wine Show - Exhibitor's Tasting (Olympic Park, Homebush): {375ml, screwcap, 11%} Past its youth, this has a distinct smoky note cutting through the rich botrytis/apricot aromas. Although not massively sweet, it’s a bit gloopy & flabby and lacks the acid to give it freshness. And the smoky aromas turn into rather dirty flavours somehow, which add nothing to the palate. Medium length finish, but it’s a mediocre wine at best.
