February 6, 2019 - Interesting. The fruit at first strikes me as overripe, but past that is a smooth-textured wine with just enough acid to hold it together. Some really interesting background flavors that I can't quite identify. Doing well at 9 years of age.

September 29, 2014 - Not as good as my first bottle. This was a bit astringent and had much less concentrated dark fruit as the prior bottle. Still good, but inconsistent quality.

April 6, 2014 - I agree with Garambler; the additional aging has done well by this wine. Concentrated boysenberry flavors have gained prominence as the tannins soften; went very well with chicken cacciatore. At its peak now; the baco reserve still needs additional time.

November 15, 2013 - I opened my 2nd bottle on 11/15/13. It had a rich, jammy and fragrant bouquet of plum, blackberry, smoke, cocoa and spice aromas. The palate was rich, ripe and jammy with flavors of plum, blueberry, blackberry, cocoa, mocha, coffee and spice. It was MUCH better than my previous bottle.

April 5, 2013 - I had this with an after work cheese plate on 4/5/13.It had a fragrant bouquet of plum, blackberry, burnt toast and smoke aromas. The palate was sharp and sour with flavors of plum, blackberry, burnt toast and cocoa. There was also a bit of a metallic taste.
