  June 28, 2019 - This bottle was a bit past its prime, but there was just enough fruit and acidity to hold things together make it enjoyable. Probably time to drink up.

  November 15, 2014 - smooth nose upon opening, nice red/brown color in the glass, first taste was quite pleasant and honestly surprising given the cost of this bottle (it felt like a more expensive wine). let it breathe for a bit, soft tannins, big hit of what was like tobacco and plum on the tongue, very earthy, maybe too much even as it lacked sweetness to balance the earthiness. after 2 hours the wine had smoothed out and was much more balanced... really nice and will definitely buy more!

  March 21, 2014 - Almonds and fresh red fruit. There are some signs of its age, but my guess is that this wine is in its early drinking window now. High but lively acidity.

  July 1, 2013 - Almost 8 years since my last bottle of this. Classic and straightforward Barolo entering its early drinking window. Far better than the big producer - ripe year wine the following night.
