February 10, 2022 - Strikingly enjoyable for a 22 year old CdRV. Dates, dried figs, carob, and coco powder. Still showing fine structure, with powdery tannins. The listed 13 abv (for a Rhone offering!?), nearly seamless, also made an impression. Drink.

December 25, 2019 - Expected this to be egregiously past its prime but was pleased to find a great nose with tones of moss, mushroom, currants and blackberry. Medium to full body with ruby tone. Short tight finish with a little licorice kick. If this little gem is idling away in your cellar, drink it soon.

May 5, 2018 - PnP after short decant, this one had a noticeable amount of bret funk on the nose upon opening but the taste was mature and with nice garuige notes. Went great with pork ribs on the green egg with oriental seasoning. Got richer and rounder after an hr and the dark fruit became more prominent. By the time we got to the end of the bottle the funk blew off and the wine was really humming along nicely. Considering the age and vintage i was very happy with what was in my glass.

January 19, 2015 - When i drank this young i thought this had the stuffing to age, maybe 10-12 years but i never thought it would show so well at almost 15 years of age. A great cellar defender when it's time for a good bistro wine with some nice evolution. This has held up better than many CNDP from this vintage. got to love it when this happens. Way over achiever. hope my remaining bottles held up as well.

March 15, 2014 - consistent with previous bottles and still chugging right along. Very slight TCA began to emerge at the 1 hour mark, but before that, this medium(-) body, fully mature wine still had plenty to offer. For an inexpensive, Village-level wine, I can only scratch my head at how nice this continues to be. recommended, drink thru 2016
