March 23, 2012 - Nice Pinot Noir with plenty of red fruit and mild tannins for backup. Somewhat short on the finish.

March 6, 2012 - Some type of red fruit on the nose, some bitterness on the finish. Hard to tell it is pinot noir.

December 18, 2011 - decent but still wanting. some mixed cherry and green woody spice. a creeping sous bois that never realizes. was expecting a bit more at the price I paid, but proximal to region maybe better value.

November 21, 2011 - Notes similar to previous bottle, with restrained fruits (red raspberries and slight strawberry jam) with a nice vanilla bean and celery root follow-through. Flowing acidity and complex spices give it a solid backbone as well. The lack of big jammy flavors make this balanced wine a keeper for at least another 4-6 years.

September 29, 2011 - A pleasant surprise given it was a restaurant purchase at a place not known for it's wine list! Classic Burgundian, lighter in style with a 13.3 ABV. Dark cherry red in color with earthy, and spicy notes accentuated with plenty of raspberries, cherries, and light vanilla on the nose. Plenty of bright fruit with cherry cola on palate.
Balanced acidity and tannins. Enjoyed with Pork Shepard pie and crab cakes and it paired well with both. Mediocre finish, ended a bit abruptly. This would be a great every day wine.

August 31, 2011 - I was very pleasantly surprised by this wine. It's hard to find any decent pinots under $20, but this one hits the mark. It could easily pass for twice the price. It is a lighter style for an Oregon pinot, but has a nice pleasant fruit, stinky pinot nose, and great acidity and nice integrated tannins. A little more complexity in the mid palate is all that is missing, but that'd be too much to ask at that price.

August 15, 2011 - Deft indeed. Good balance, the fruit is memorable (red raspberries meets cherry licorice) and the acids back-up the tannins just right. It feels more like France than it does willamette, which is refreshing for a wine of this price. This is why the Ponzi's have been able to stay in the game year after year.

July 14, 2011 - Thought it was a $12 wine. So it was ok at the time. Better the second day, but still not great. Then I found out I paid $16 for it. Disappointing
