October 8, 2016 - This wine is not showing much in the way of aged characheteristics yet, but I think it has gone to sleep prior to emerging as a fully-fledged aged wine.
The nose is predominantly blueberry which is slightly medicinal and raspberry leaf with just a hint of dried herbs and earthy underbrush.
The palette is spicy and full of good acidity and chocolatey tannins which are well balanced and benefit from the slightly sweet oak.
Overall, this is probably best left for a few years to see how it develops as an older wine. -

April 25, 2014 - Soft, ceder oak, dark flowers, stewed plums and heat on the nose. The palette is tannic and bold with acidity and ripe fruit. Still drinking well.
