Tim Heaton Likes this wine:
October 16, 2013 - Impressive showing, exceeded expectations. Directly from Jim Clenenden's Le Bon Climat Vyd, this uses a Bienvenues Batard-Montrachet clone, with Jim as the winemaker for this single-barrel effort. Probably entered its preferred window a year or so ago, and is likely to remain here for the next 3-4 years before a gentle decline. Still quite fresh, but with a patina of weight and elegance that only comes with age. My take-away here is that this exceeded my expectations for balance and finish, and that's saying more than words alone might suggest. Excellent on its own, even better with food (in this case, grouper). Thank you, drycab!
