September 20, 2015 - some depth and complexity still there, but afraid this one may be turning...drink quick

July 24, 2011 - At first seemed thin and lacking fruit but after after 30-60 minutes this was drinking really well. Stewed tomato and fig on the nose and then bright rasberry/blackberry with strong acidity. Nice long finish. Drank well with sirloin burgers and tater tots! 42% cab, 34% merlot, 24% syrah. This bottle certainly showed its age but was drinking just fine so hard to say based on past reviews where this vintage is at.

May 6, 2011 - Drunk over 2 days. Very nice the first day, 24 hours later it was beginning to fade badly with noticeable oxidization. No matter how you slice it, though, much better than the '01 I tasted a few days ago. Color still a deep dark purple. Nose was decent yesterday, but somewhat oxidized today. Pretty ripe and round in the mouth, with a nice rich mouthfeel and smooth, satiny finish. Drink up! 5-8-14-3: 80/100

December 23, 2010 - Another of my 100 point penalty wines, 3 in a row that on my palate and others was a fine wine. At least a 90 or higher

I'm new to Cellar Tracker and as I load on my cellars and discover the past maturity wines I am drinking them on this recommendation.

Maximus we enjoyed all aspect of this wine front to back. Nice fruit, balance and finish

January 9, 2010 - I love Maximus...but waited too long to drink this one. Just average.

December 15, 2008 - Standard blackberries and cassis on the nose, with a slight metallic twinge. Taste seemed to be muted at first, but things opened up after some aggressive swirling. I get more of a sweet strawberry taste on the palate, and a touch of dustiness. Not very complex, but fresh and tasty.

October 1, 2007 - Not too expressive. Deep plumy flavor, not the big bordeaux blend that I was hoping for.

June 7, 2006 - Nice blend, dependable, tannic, good 20 buck food wine. But, really would be better set down a bit. Seems retailers are pushing too hard to drink now. I might let my last one wait a year.

May 18, 2006 - Impressive aromas of red fruits. Nice complexity for price, not many sub - $60 wines at Morton's Steakhouse, and few have the fruit, tannins and long finish that make this a very good wine
