December 18, 2020 - Ripe peach on both the nose and palate. Not too sweet, and drinking well tonight.

May 19, 2019 - Stunning, serene Spätlese at a wonderful plateau where the fruit is still very fresh and vibrant, but is augmented by plenty of smoky development. The mineral, floral, fruit, and savoury elements here all combine into a seamless, nearly weightless whole that's drinking amazingly well right now.

April 29, 2018 - Bronze-gold colored in the glass, with sweet tropical fruits on the nose.

Sweet fruit balanced by decent acidity on the palate - good persistence. Not sure if this will get any better, but it's pretty good tonight.

March 26, 2015 - Greet Adira and small BYO at our place (Clinton Hill, Brooklyn): Rich, sweet-honey, grapes, apricot, spicy. soft. I have 'delicious' as well, but soon afterwards, the wine began to show itself as really soft, and quite tired. This didn't have enough acid or backbone to impress me.

December 11, 2014 - Domaine End of Year Party (Chicago, IL): Apples and peaches on the nose and palate. Very restrained but completely open. Just a fantastic bottle, and I'm happy to have been able to catch it at this moment right now.

(Willi Schaefer Graacher Dompbrost Spatlese #9) Great nose of spiced apple, slate, sweet rubber, apple skins. Good palate but needs a little more stuffing to make it outstanding. Nice acids give it lift. Good.
