    September 23, 2018 - I was expecting more but got less. Not a lot of anything to make it memorable. Not bad, just not great.

    January 22, 2015 - Similar notes to last time, except showing dark chocolate notes on the nose and palate with the peach notes gone. In the window, with little room for improvement. Drink now-2020.

    February 25, 2012 - Smells of chemical red fruits, spice, alcohol, & roofing tar (Slovenian oak?). Tastes of delicious complex red fruits, plums, & other dark stone fruits. Not as much earth as I anticipated, but very good. Full Bodied. Paired nicely with Pasta Arrabiata w/Hot Sausage.

    August 6, 2011 - Slow-ox'd for three hours. Not decanted. Dark garnet/black colour; opaque at the core. Pretty, powerful nose of spice, blackberry jam, sandalwood, black cherry, alcohol, and a hint of herbs. Full-bodied, with fine tannins and good acidity. Notes of frutti di bosco, sottobosco, spice, and a hint of peach. Moderate-long finish, ~35-40s, with more dark fruit. Delicious stuff. Will likely be an early drinker. Drink 2012-2020.
